We are Business Improvement Specialists™, but before any improvement work can begin, we must first understand three key factors:
Where is the business now? (Current reality)
Where do you want it to be, and by when? (Goals)
What is your capacity for change? (Potential)
To gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the current state of the business, the goals of its owners, shareholders, or directors, and the organisation’s potential for growth, we conduct a ProfiTune Business Analysis (BA).
The BA provides both our team and you with a detailed picture of the business’s current position, desired future state, and a roadmap for how to bridge the gap. It also includes a thorough cost-benefit analysis, offering a realistic projection of the potential return on investment (ROI) for any proposed improvement initiatives.
As a guiding principle, we typically only proceed with business improvement strategies if the expected ROI exceeds 100%.
The client’s role in the process is straightforward: to complete a comprehensive questionnaire that explores all aspects of the business. Some of the questions may be described as "challenging" or even "unconventional," as they address the core motivations behind starting the business and the factors potentially limiting its full potential. However, these questions often serve as the catalyst for meaningful transformation.
In many cases, clients find that simply reflecting on how to answer these questions initiates the process of business improvement—this is when the business analysis begins to show its value.
We refer to these as “powerful questions” and if you engage with us, you’re likely to encounter a few.
The Business Analysis delves deeply into the business itself, as well as the relationship between the owner, shareholders, and the enterprise. Approximately 60% of the questions can typically be answered informally—often at the kitchen table—while the remaining 40% may require consultation with financial systems or internal databases.
Identify key strengths and rapid revenue growth areas.
Discover opportunities to streamline operations and boost profitability.
A unique in-depth Business Report on your business.
While you are completing your portion of the Business Analysis (BA), we conduct in-depth market research by engaging with a selection of your customers and suppliers—carefully chosen by you for this purpose.
Although some clients initially have concerns about this step, approximately 85% of the feedback we receive is overwhelmingly positive. More importantly, we are skilled at uncovering the deeper insights—the valuable “nuggets” such as “if they offered this, we’d buy more” or “we’d be more inclined to support them if…” These comments often reveal untapped opportunities for growth and improvement.
The combined feedback from your referees offers both you and us a rare and valuable perspective—an “X-ray view” of your business as seen from the outside.
Suppliers are typically eager to participate, as improvements in your business often translate into increased opportunities for them as well. Their unique position in the marketplace gives them a broader view, allowing them to offer insights that are both informed and strategic. This perspective often plays a key role in identifying avenues for performance enhancement.
Your customers are likewise motivated to contribute, as they benefit directly from any improvements in the products or services you provide. Ultimately, everyone wins when your business is positioned to deliver greater value.
All client data is securely entered into a protected online server, where it is processed using a proprietary analytical program developed in-house. This system generates a preliminary (“raw”) Business Analysis Report.
The report is then reviewed and interpreted by our Senior Business Analysts, who apply their extensive business experience to uncover deeper insights and strategic implications—insights that only come with years of practical expertise.
The final step in the process is the preparation of the Business Analysis Report. This report is interpreted and presented by an accredited Business Improvement Specialist™, specifically trained to guide clients through this crucial phase. They will schedule a dedicated session—typically lasting between one and two hours—to walk you through the report’s findings in detail. The goal is to ensure you gain a clear, actionable understanding of the key areas for improvement and the strategic options available for each.
These tailored strategies represent a core component of the value delivered by the Business Analysis Report.
In essence, the report outlines how your business can begin the journey toward enhanced performance. It also provides an objective assessment of your organisation’s readiness for the next phase of support, which may include targeted training and coaching services.
As the first stage in the process, (and well before we even consider Coaching), the Business Analysis carries a unique Guarantee, as follows:
“If your Business Analysis does not identify unrealized profit potential at least ten times your investment in it we will refund your entire investment and still deliver & interpret your Business Analysis Report for FREE.”
